Dismal performance. Bayern Munich is having its worst season in the Bundesliga since 2012

Bayern Munich suffered another defeat in the Bundesliga. Thomas Tuchel's team managed to lose to the modest league debutant, Heidenheim, after leading 2:0 at halftime (final score 2:3).

This defeat marks Bayern's sixth in the league this season.

Interestingly, Bayern Munich has lost more than five games in a Bundesliga season for the first time since the 2011/12 season, when they finished behind Borussia Dortmund, losing seven matches.

Furthermore, this is the first instance since 2000 that Bayern Munich has lost to a Bundesliga debutant team.

Tuchel's team is now trailing Bayer Leverkusen by 16 points. Leverkusen won their 28th round match and could clinch the championship title in the next match by defeating Werder Bremen at home.
