Disgusting: RB Leipzig star Loïs Openda subjected to racist abuse from fans
RB Leipzig forward Loïs Openda has been targeted with horrific racist abuse from fans, sharing screenshots of the vile messages he received in his Instagram DMs.
Openda exposed the hateful insults, written in both French and English, showing how fans blamed him for missed chances and directed racist slurs at him. Messages included degrading comments like “ugly stupid monkey” and “black crippled slave”, along with death threats.

Despite the shocking attacks, Openda responded defiantly, stating that no one will ever stop him from chasing his dreams and declaring that he is proud to be Black.
RB Leipzig issued a strong statement condemning the abuse, expressing both disgust and anger at the racism directed at their player:
"The racist insults and hostility towards Loïs Openda fill us with disgust, as well as anger and sadness. We strongly condemn racism and inhumane behavior. Loïs has the full support of the club, and together we stand against any form of discrimination."
So far this season, Openda has been a key player for Leipzig, making 30 appearances, scoring 10 goals, and providing 9 assists.
