In the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Tottenham travelled to face Atlético Madrid, and disaster struck in the opening minutes.
Details: Goalkeeper Antonín Kinský made a costly mistake in the fifth minute when he slipped, fell, and failed to clear the ball away. Atlético players quickly capitalised, intercepting the loose ball and scoring.
Another blunder followed soon after, as he slipped again and an Atlético player was first to the rebound, slotting home the third goal. Madrid scored three times in the opening 15 minutes, and that was the end of the night for Kinský.
Reminder: Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta has clarified rumors surrounding a potential transfer of Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez.
