Diego Maradona's daughter reveals family lives in fear due to trial over his death
Dalma Maradona, the eldest daughter of the football legend, revealed that her family is living in fear of the mafia due to the upcoming trial regarding Diego's death. She shared the current situation on the show Angel Responde on Bondi Live.
Dalma stated that due to their quest for justice and to hold those responsible accountable, the Maradona family is under severe pressure from dangerous individuals.
"My mother is worried because she is afraid. Afraid of the mafia, of those who control everything, have money and power. But I don't care. I know who I am up against, but I cannot remain silent. We need people to know the truth. My mother tells me all the time 'shut up, don't say anything, I'm scared', but I can't. I owe it to him," Dalma confessed.
It should be noted that the Maradona family previously accused the doctors in charge of his care of negligence, concealment, and making offensive comments. As a result, an investigation was initiated, and the trial is set to begin on March 11. Eight doctors and nurses are expected to stand trial.
As a reminder, Diego suffered a fatal heart attack at his home in November 2020, just two weeks after being discharged from the hospital following surgery for a brain hemorrhage.
