Diego Maradona Jr.: “They Killed My Father”

In a recent interview with Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, Diego Maradona Jr. shared his grief and outrage over the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the death of his father, Argentine football legend Diego Maradona.
As reported by La Voz, Maradona Jr. didn’t mince words:
“What hurts me the most is that they killed him. They didn’t take care of him, they did nothing to save him. If they had, he could be sitting here right now.”
Clearly emotional, he accused those close to his father of neglect and financial exploitation.
“Maybe he wasn’t useful to them anymore. After so many years of business, of stealing money from him, being dead served them better,” he said.
He hinted at a deeper plot, blaming both the medical staff and those who hired them.
“I don’t know exactly why, but seeing how the doctors acted—and who put them there—leaves me no other conclusion.”
Confident in the outcome of the trial, he stated:
“We want to prove there was negligence. I’m sure we will. There’s a lot of evidence.”
