German striker Niklas Füllkrug suffered an injury after playing just three matches, totaling 106 minutes, for his new club Milan.

Details: According to Sky Sport, the 32-year-old Germany international has sustained a broken toe and will be out of action for a period of time.

This means the forward will certainly miss the match against Como on Thursday, January 15, and is highly unlikely to feature in Sunday’s clash with Lecce. Milan are hopeful that the striker can recover in time for the January 25 showdown against Roma, but much will depend on his recovery progress and pain management.

It’s worth noting that the German forward joined Milan on loan from London’s West Ham, has featured in three matches for his new club so far, but is yet to open his scoring account.

Reminder: Milan are looking to sign Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka.
