Germany and France are battling for third place in this season's UEFA Nations League in Stuttgart.

The Germans have looked far more dangerous, but France almost had a golden opportunity to break the deadlock. In the 31st minute, the referee initially awarded a penalty against Maignan for a foul on Adeyemi.

After a prompt from the video assistant, Ivan Kruzlyak went to the monitor himself and ultimately changed his decision. The penalty was overturned, and instead, the German winger was booked for simulation.

As a reminder, the UEFA Nations League final will take place tonight in Munich. The opening whistle for the clash between Portugal and Spain is set for 21:00 Central European Time.
