Did you know? Cristiano Ronaldo has only recorded ONE assist in 2026
Cristiano Ronaldo's 2026 season has been dominated by goals, but not assists, according to a claim that has sparked debate among fans and analysts.
Details: According to The Touchline, Ronaldo has only recorded one assist in 2026, despite having 261 assists in his career, more than Xavi or Iniesta. However, this claim has been fact-checked and found to be fake.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in the spotlight this season, scoring a hat-trick for Al-Nassr in a 5-3 win over Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League 2026-27 season. The Portuguese star has also made history by scoring his first goal for Portugal in the 2026 World Cup, becoming the first player to score in six different World Cups. Despite this, his performance in the World Cup has not been without criticism, as he went scoreless in a 1-1 draw against DR Congo.
Ronaldo was Portugal's focal point in the tournament, being the first-choice penalty taker and primary target inside the penalty area. However, his lack of impact in some matches has led to scrutiny, particularly after his sister, Elma Aveiro, criticized the Portuguese national team and fans for their treatment of her brother after his departure from the squad.
It's worth noting that Cristiano Ronaldo won the inaugural Ballon d’Or of all time award, with fans ranking his 2008 Manchester United season above Messi’s 2012 campaign.
Reminder: 10 billion in just 24 hours?! Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration reportedly breaks the internet.
