Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi has long been on Arsenal’s transfer radar, but it seems the Gunners have only just decided to make a serious push for his signature.
Details: According to ESPN, Zubimendi is expected to undergo a medical at Arsenal soon ahead of finalizing his move to the London club. Arsenal have been working on a deal for the 26-year-old midfielder for several months and are now ironing out the last details of the transfer. It is reported that Zubimendi’s contract includes a €60 million release clause.
Reminder: Liverpool were also in the race for the midfielder, and more recently, Real Madrid expressed interest. However, the player himself has made it clear he’s determined to join Arsenal.
