In the early hours of Thursday, April 23, an MLS regular-season clash took place as Real Salt Lake hosted Inter Miami.
For a long time, neither side could find the breakthrough. Real Salt Lake did have the ball in the net in the fifth minute, but the effort was ruled out. In the end, it was Miami’s leaders who settled the contest.
In the 82nd minute, Rodrigo De Paul opened the scoring, and just one minute later Luis Suarez doubled his side’s advantage to make it 2-0.
Those two goals secured the win for Inter Miami. Lionel Messi did not register a goal or assist. Despite that, the Herons sit second in the table with 18 points after nine rounds.
