Brazilian striker Deyverson is heading to Fortaleza after finalizing an agreement with Atlético Mineiro. The transfer, confirmed on Thursday, was reported by Bnews and marks a new chapter in the 33-year-old forward’s career. Deyverson is expected to arrive in Fortaleza on Friday, March 28, to complete medical examinations and sign a contract that will keep him at the club through the end of 2027.
The move offers Deyverson not only a longer contract compared to the one set to expire this December at Atlético but also a salary raise. His decision reflects the club’s ambition to add experienced firepower to its squad ahead of the 2025 Brasileirão season.
Deyverson, who has previously played for Palmeiras in Brazil and had stints in Spain with Alavés and Levante, brings a mix of flair and experience to Fortaleza. His signing is seen as a strategic move by coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda to strengthen the team’s attack.
