Details of Ronald Araújo's transfer revealed!
Just days ago, it emerged that Barcelona and Uruguay national team defender Ronald Araújo is set to change clubs in the near future.
Details: Insider Fabrizio Romano, who a few days ago broke the news of 27-year-old Ronald Araújo's move to Liverpool, has now shared some details about the deal.
The Uruguayan defender, who will soon be heading to Anfield, is expected to arrive in Merseyside today for his medical and to sign the contract. The agreement between the clubs is for a one-year loan, and the Reds will have a buyout option set at 55 million euros, should the English side be satisfied with his performances.
Araújo will join Iraola's squad to replace the departed Ibrahima Konaté, hoping to regain his top form and secure more playing time than he had at Barcelona during the 2025/26 season.
It is worth noting that the player's current contract with the Catalan club runs until 2031, with a release clause set at one billion euros.
