Derek Chisora and Francis Ngannou meet at Old Trafford amid rumors of their fight
Heavyweight stars Derek Chisora and Francis Ngannou crossed paths in the stands of Old Trafford during the Manchester United vs. Bodo/Glimt Europa League match, The Sun reports.
The athletes took a joint photo wearing Manchester United shirts, a gift from the club. The photo was posted on Chisora's Instagram account.
"Look who I bumped into people. Can't say much. We can't say much," Chisora captioned the photo.
Earlier, the 40-year-old boxer revealed that he wants his final fight to be against MMA fighter Francis Ngannou. He emphasized that it is important for the fight to take place in Africa. According to Chisora, hosting the bout on the African continent would inspire African talent, as they would be able to see the fight live in their own country, rather than in European arenas or Saudi Arabia.
Francis Ngannou, the Cameroonian athlete, is the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. He has briefly dabbled in boxing, fighting twice and losing both bouts, after which he decided to return to MMA.
British boxer of African descent Derek Chisora is ranked 10th in the BoxRec rankings for the best contemporary heavyweight boxers.
