After two years away from the pitch, former Newcastle United star Demba Cissé has embarked on a new challenge. The 39-year-old Senegalese forward has officially joined Al Qabila FC, a club competing in the fourth division of the United Arab Emirates.

A New Chapter in Cissé’s Career

On social media, Al Qabila FC announced the signing, giving Cissé, who had been without a team since 2023, a new beginning. His former Newcastle teammate Steven Taylor, who is currently a member of the club's leadership, is reunited with him as a result of the move.

Premier League Legacy and Global Journey

Cissé scored 37 goals in 117 Premier League games while playing for Newcastle United. Prior to taking a hiatus from professional football, he played in China, Turkey, and France after departing England in 2016.
