Déjà vu in Madrid. Arbeloa loses control of the Real Madrid dressing room
Tensions are once again running high inside the Real Madrid dressing room.
Details: According to Sport.es, players have begun openly questioning Álvaro Arbeloa's methods, and the situation inside Los Blancos’ locker room now dangerously echoes past scenarios: some players are criticizing the coach’s tactics, reminiscent of the Xabi Alonso era, while others are simply ignoring his instructions—just as happened during Carlo Ancelotti’s final spell.
Reports suggest that, despite public statements of support for the coach, the club’s management is largely staying out of the fray and not quashing the skepticism from team leaders. Arbeloa finds himself in a precarious position: most players see him as a stopgap figure, which seriously undermines his authority and hampers any attempt to build a long-term development strategy.
In an effort to calm the situation, Arbeloa has made concessions. Disciplinary demands have been noticeably relaxed, and training sessions now focus more on creating a positive atmosphere so that players can enjoy their work more.
It’s worth noting that since Arbeloa took charge of Los Blancos, the team has won five out of seven matches, suffering two defeats.
Reminder: Real Madrid announces the closure of the Super League project.
