Defensive reinforcement: Barcelona confident of signing Al Hilal player

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Portuguese full-back João Cancelo will become a Barcelona player before the end of the transfer window. There is no doubt about the move. However, negotiations with Al Hilal over the transfer agreement are still ongoing and have not yet been finalised. The player himself has made it clear that Barcelona are the only club he wants to join.

As previously reported, Barcelona are expected to sign the 32-year-old defender for €10 million, with the player set to sign a two-year contract with the club.

Cancelo spent the second half of this season in La Liga, having previously played for Barcelona in the 2023/24 campaign. Now, his return is set to be permanent rather than another short-term move.
