Defensive crisis: Ancelotti reveals Rudiger and Alaba’s absence timeline

Real Madrid is facing a defensive crisis after Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba suffered injuries in the start of February. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided an update on the expected recovery timeline for both defenders.

Details. According to the Blancos boss, Rudiger and Alaba will be sidelined for approximately 20 days.

This leaves Real Madrid with limited options in central defense for the upcoming matches, with Jacobo Ramón, Raúl Asensio, and Aurélien Tchouaméni as the only available choices.

Madrid faces Atlético in the derby on February 8, followed by a Champions League showdown against Manchester City on February 11.

Reminder. Alaba previously missed over a year due to a cruciate ligament rupture.
