The 19-year-old player of Ivorian origin has signed a five-season contract with the Ligue 1 side for 20 million euros.

Strasbourg have bolstered their defence with a new summer signing. The French club have officially announced the arrival of Karim Coulibaly from Werder Bremen. The centre-back, originally from the Ivory Coast, has signed a five-season deal, running until June 2031.

The transfer fee for the young defender is estimated at 20 million euros. Karim Coulibaly already has some experience at the highest level of German football. The centre-back joined Werder Bremen’s first team during the 2025–2026 season.

In his first Bundesliga season, the young player made 27 appearances and scored 1 goal. His performances helped ensure Werder Bremen’s survival in the top flight.

Karim Coulibaly’s profile and his Bundesliga experience should enable him to settle in easily at the Ligue 1 club.
