Details: According to renowned and respected journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, 30-year-old Portuguese defensive midfielder João Palhinha has made a decision about the next step in his career.
It is reported that after Roberto De Zerbi took charge at Tottenham, Palhinha ultimately decided to stay at the club, thanks to a very close relationship he has developed with the Italian manager.
Now, everything will depend solely on the negotiations between Bayern and Tottenham. If the “Spurs” fail to secure Palhinha, Sporting Lisbon is ready to buy him from Bayern.
Palhinha joined Tottenham in August 2025 on loan until the end of the season. The Portuguese midfielder made 45 appearances for Tottenham, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists.
