The achievements of Lens last season did not go unnoticed.

Details: According to renowned and respected journalist and insider David Ornstein on his page on social network X, Crystal Palace have signed a contract with 47-year-old Lens head coach Pierre Sage.

It is reported that Sage's deal with Palace is for three years, and he will be assisted by Jamal Alioui, who previously worked with Pierre at Lens.

Crystal Palace are expected to officially announce Sage's appointment within the next 48 hours.

Currently, Sage is awaiting a work permit in England, after which he will join the club and begin leading training sessions.

Last season, Sage surprised many fans by winning the French Cup and finishing second in Ligue 1 with modest Lens.

Reminder: Premier League star could follow Glasner to Milan
