Neymar is on the verge of missing the upcoming World Cup.
Details: Today, 66-year-old Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti released the final squad list for the upcoming friendlies against Croatia and France.
The main intrigue before Ancelotti's announcement was the potential call-up of 34-year-old Neymar, who is eager to make the Seleção roster for the upcoming World Cup. However, Carlo Ancelotti has opted to postpone Neymar's return, leaving him out of the squad for these friendlies.

Whether this decision by Ancelotti puts an end to Neymar's World Cup dreams remains unclear, but it's hardly a reassuring sign for the superstar.
Instead of Neymar, the Italian manager has called up Real Madrid's young prodigy Endrick, currently on loan at Lyon, giving him a chance to make his fourth appearance for the national team.
Final squad lists for the 2026 FIFA World Cup must be submitted to FIFA shortly before the tournament, which takes place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
