The legendary footballer and coach is set to return to the dugout.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Zinedine Zidane has reached a verbal agreement with the French Football Federation to become the next head coach of the national team. The iconic figure will step into his new managerial role immediately after the conclusion of the current World Cup.

At present, France continues its World Cup campaign under the guidance of Didier Deschamps. However, the matter of succession has already been settled: the position long held by Deschamps will pass to his former national teammate.

Notably, this appointment marks Zidane's first coaching job since leaving Real Madrid.

Reminder: Real defender Dean Huijsen has suffered an injury and will miss the next match.
