The most drawn-out mini-saga of the Italian window has ended with the simplest of words: no.

Details: Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal between Roma and Inter for Luis Henrique is currently off. The agreement was never truly close, Roma now consider the transfer dead, and although Inter were prepared to approve the exit, the Brazilian winger never agreed personal terms.

The story dragged on for almost two weeks: the clubs had a basic agreement worth around €30 million with a loan-plus-obligation structure, but Luis Henrique hesitated from the very start and never gave Roma his approval. The Giallorossi, who have already signed Molina this summer, have now walked away with the new Serie A season kicking off tonight.

The 24-year-old only joined Inter from Marseille last year for around €25 million, but managed just one goal and three assists in 46 competitive appearances, convincing the Nerazzurri to cash in. It's worth noting that Luis Henrique remains under contract at San Siro until 2030, so with Roma out of the race, his future now hangs in limbo days before the deadline.

Reminder: 30 million or nothing! Inter lays down tough terms for Roma over Brazilian winger.
