Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini has officially confirmed that the Turin club has ended talks with Fenerbahce regarding striker Youssef En-Nesyri. According to the legendary former defender, the key factors were the player's own doubts and the financial terms of the deal, which the Bianconeri were not willing to accept.
Initially, it was expected that the Moroccan forward would be brought in from Istanbul for a medical check-up ahead of a loan move to Juventus with a purchase option at the end of the season. However, the situation changed dramatically: sporting director Marco Ottolini returned to Turin alone last night, and media reports surfaced about En-Nesyri's uncertainty regarding the transfer's viability.
The situation is quite clear. We spoke with the player, and he expressed doubts about the structure of the deal. We cannot and do not want to buy him outright, so for now, negotiations are over for us," Chiellini told Sky Sport Italia.
