Deal done! Seko Fofana to join FC Porto
The Ivory Coast international will temporarily leave Rennes for the Portuguese Liga
The 30-year-old midfielder will sign with the Portuguese club on loan.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Seko Fofana will play for FC Porto until the end of the 2025-26 season. His French club, Rennes, has accepted the terms of his temporary transfer, and the Ivorian international is expected to travel to Portugal for medical examinations.
Having arrived in Rennes in January 2025 from Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, the Ivorian midfielder hopes to relaunch his career with a new challenge. Seko Fofana has been unable to establish himself at Rennes. Since joining the French club, the Ivorian midfielder has played 28 matches, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the French Ligue 1.
