De Rossi has confirmed the signing of the ex-Atletico defender to Roma

The transfer window in Serie A is already closed, but it does not apply to players who are without a club, which was taken advantage of by Roma, who found reinforcements outside the transfer window.

Earlier it was reported that the Giallorossi intend to sign ex-Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso, and these rumours, although not immediately confirmed by Wolves head coach Daniele De Rossi:

‘We have signed a new centre-back ... but I can't say who it is,’ said the coach, and immediately afterwards, knowing it was an open secret, he said, ’Okay, I'll say it. It's Mario Hermoso,’ Mundo Deportivo quoted Roma's head coach as saying.

Hermoso was previously linked with Villarreal before reaching an agreement in principle with Turkish Galatasaray, but still favoured the Italian club. The centre-back will sign a two-year contract with Wolves.
