The debut of legendary Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea for Fiorentina didn't go as planned.

The "Viola" entered the UEFA Conference League playoff match against Hungarian side Puskás Akadémia as clear favorites. However, the match started disastrously for the Italian team, as they conceded twice within the first 12 minutes.

Fiorentina managed to pull one back just before halftime, with Riccardo Sottil scoring to make it 1-2 at the break.

In the second half, Fiorentina seemed to turn the game around with goals from Lucas Martínez and Moise Kean, completing a comeback that appeared to secure the victory.

But in a shocking twist, De Gea and his teammates conceded a third goal in the 89th minute, resulting in a high-scoring 3-3 draw.

The return leg will take place in Hungary next week.
