The spotlight has been on David Mimbang since his impressive performances at the UNIFFAC U17 Tournament, a qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations. The 16-year-old Cameroonian made a name for himself by finishing the competition as the tournament’s best player.
Among the clubs interested in signing the young player, Saint-Etienne is reported to have succeeded in convincing him. As a result, David Mimbang is expected to sign for the French club, according to the Cameroonian press. The young midfielder is expected to leave Cameroon for France this Sunday, 12 April. Upon his arrival, he is expected to settle in first before finalising the contract.
