Legendary former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has an unexpected career option.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, De Gea's agents have contacted Serie A club Genoa. The Spanish goalkeeper is open to joining the Rossoblu, but Genoa's management has yet to make a decision.
At Genoa, De Gea could replace Josep Martinez, who transferred to Inter this summer.
It has also been reported that De Gea has career continuation options in MLS and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Serie A.
De Gea played for Manchester United from 2011 to 2023, but has not found a new club since last season.
