Darwin Gonzalez leaves Cape Town

Venezuelan midfielder Darwin Gonzalez is leaving Cape Town FC.

Details: The midfielder's contract was set to run until June this year. Both parties decided not to extend it, and Cape Town released the player as a free agent.

During his 116 appearances for the club, Gonzalez netted 16 goals and provided 9 assists.

At the end of the season, Cape Town finished 15th and will play in the relegation group to fight for their place in the Premier League.
