Dani Alves is out on bail for a substantial amount of money

Football legend Dani Alves, who was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison, has posted bail and been released.

As reported by Marca, the former Barcelona, PSG, Sevilla, Juventus, and Brazil national team player paid $1 million for his release.

Alves will remain free while his appeal is being considered. His passport has been confiscated, and he is required to appear in court every week.

The duration of the appeal process is currently unknown.

To recap, Dani Alves was found guilty of assaulting a 23-year-old woman in the restroom of a prestigious nightclub in Barcelona, although the footballer claims the encounter was consensual. The woman alleges that Alves attacked and then struck her.
