According to Mullin, he felt genuine relief when the American side managed to revoke the visas of the Iranian delegation, demanding their immediate departure from the United States. The minister greeted this decision with particular delight, which he made no effort to conceal from those around him.
"I'm just glad Iran is out. I was so happy when we succeeded in withdrawing the Iranian visas and told them they could all leave US soil. I sang a song or two and even danced a joyful dance," the politician said, commenting on Iran's World Cup exit.
It should be noted that Iran was knocked out after a 1-1 draw with Egypt.
Reminder: The captain of the Iranian national team delivered a scathing criticism of FIFA and Infantino.
