In their CAF Confederation Cup group stage encounter on Sunday, CS Constantine put up a strong show, defeating FC Bravos do Maquis of Angola 4-0. The Algerian team now leads Group A with nine points after the victory, which was seen by their home audience.
Constantine took the lead early on, and the encounter was mainly one-sided. The home team led 2-0 at the interval thanks to goals from Miloud Rebiai in the 41st minute and Tosin Omoyele in the opening minute of extra time.
Constantine maintained their dominance in the second half. Dadi Mouaki added a goal in the 89th minute to complete a convincing 4-0 victory, and Abdennour Belhocini increased their lead with another in the 86th.
Following their 3-2 loss to Bravos do Maquis in the previous round, Constantine responded strongly with this victory. With 9 points from 4 matches, CS Constantine is now in a strong position to secure a place in the quarterfinals, with a potential qualification next week if they can win their home match.
Bravos do Maquis, meantime, had two victories and two loses in the group stage and is still in third position with six points.
