Cruz Azul Reportedly Targeting José Paradela Amid $10M Release Clause
José Paradela has become one of the hottest names in Liga MX, and Cruz Azul now knows exactly what it would take to land the Argentine midfielder. According to Fútbol Total, Necaxa recently extended Paradela’s contract through December 2027, including a release clause of $10 million. That’s the amount La Máquina would need to pay to secure his transfer.
Signed from River Plate for $2.1 million, Paradela has been a revelation for Necaxa. With 14 goals and 17 assists in 49 appearances, he’s worn the No. 10 shirt with confidence and earned a leading role in Aguascalientes. His standout form has made him a prime target for top Liga MX clubs, including Cruz Azul and Toluca.
Necaxa is aware that Paradela will attract strong interest during the next transfer window. To protect their asset, the club acted swiftly to improve his contract and secure a significant exit clause. Although reports suggest Toluca currently leads the race, Cruz Azul remains a serious contender.
For now, Cruz Azul is focusing on the competitions it is still alive in, meaning a formal move for Paradela may only come at the end of the current campaign. Meanwhile, the player stays committed to helping Necaxa progress in the league. With his rising stock, the Argentine is shaping up to be one of the most sought-after players in Mexican football this year.
