Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score a penalty in the UEFA Nations League quarter-final against Denmark.
The Al-Nassr forward and Portugal national team player faced off against Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel in the sixth minute: Ronaldo struck a weak shot to his right, which the goalkeeper managed to save.
Interestingly, this penalty marked Ronaldo's 32nd missed attempt in his career. Over the current season, Cristiano has missed penalties twice: previously failing to score in the Saudi King's Cup match against Al-Taawoun in October 2024.
However, the legendary forward has scored far more penalties. To date, Ronaldo has converted 173 out of 205 penalties, giving him an accuracy rate of 84%.
