The Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo could make an unexpected move that might divide fans' opinions after his contract with Al-Nassr expires this summer.

Despite currently playing for the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, some sources claim that Ronaldo wouldn't hesitate and could move to Manchester City if the club shows interest in his services.

United legend Teddy Sheringham noted that Ronaldo wouldn't miss the chance to return to Manchester, even if it means transferring to a club that is a major rival of United. He stated that Ronaldo would certainly agree to such a transfer if all conditions are right.

"I think Manchester United would be very unhappy with this decision, but if the numbers add up, Ronaldo surely wouldn't hesitate," Sheringham told CasinoApps.

Moreover, City might be interested in signing Ronaldo, considering their current striker issues, especially in light of Erling Haaland's injury, which will keep him off the field for the coming weeks. In such a case, Manchester City might consider signing Ronaldo to bolster their attacking line ahead of the Club World Cup this summer.

Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr expires at the end of the season, and clubs like Manchester City might attempt to sign him on a temporary contract with the possibility of participating in the tournament.
