Cristiano Ronaldo hints at when he plans to retire
Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he does not have any immediate plans to end his career, but hinted that it could happen within the next two years. He admitted that he does not set specific timelines for his retirement.
Quote: “I just want to enjoy the game. My plan for retirement? If it happens, it will be in a year or two... But I don’t know. I’ll be 40 soon, and I want to enjoy this moment while I still feel motivated. As soon as the motivation is gone, I’ll walk away,” Ronaldo said in an interview after the match against Poland.
As for life after football, Ronaldo previously ruled out the possibility of becoming a coach, stating that his future may lie outside of the sport.
Reminder. On Friday, the Portuguese forward scored a stunning goal in the 87th minute of the UEFA Nations League match against Poland (5-1), taking his tally to 135 goals in 215 appearances for the national team.
