Today in Monaco, the draw for the 2024/25 Champions League season is taking place, and a very special guest has arrived.

The legendary Cristiano Ronaldo has traveled from Saudi Arabia to participate in the draw. Together with Gianluigi Buffon, the Portuguese star will be drawing the balls with the names of the teams, each of which the computer assigns eight opponents.

Additionally, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin presented Cristiano Ronaldo with a special award for being the top scorer in Champions League history, where he has scored 140 goals over his career.

During a brief interview, Čeferin asked Ronaldo if he might play in the UEFA Champions League again. The forward responded that anything is possible.

Ronaldo also jokingly remarked:

"The Champions League and goals are like ketchup: once you open it, they start pouring out. And truly, the anthem when stepping onto the field always brought special emotions. Football, like all of life, is driven by memories."

It’s worth noting that Ronaldo recently stated he is not yet thinking about retirement.
