Crisis continues. Juventus struggled to avoid defeat in Sardinia
Juventus played a draw against Cagliari (2-2) in the 33rd round of Serie A.
The first half was disastrous for Massimiliano Allegri's team. In the 30th minute, Cagliari was awarded a penalty, converted by Gianluca Gaetano, and six minutes later, the referee awarded another penalty to Juventus. This time, center-back Yerry Mina perfectly converted from the spot.
Towards the end of the first half, Dušan Vlahović's goal was overturned after a VAR review.
However, after the break, the Serbian forward managed to score directly from a free-kick. Then, in the 87th minute, Cagliari defender Dossena scored an own goal.
Cagliari has now taken points from a top-three team for the second consecutive round, having drawn with Inter in the previous round with the same scoreline.
After this draw, Cagliari remains in 14th place with a 5-point gap from the relegation zone. Juventus continues to hold the third position. The Turin side has won only 1 out of their last 8 Serie A matches.
