Crisis at Mumbai Indians. Pandya may step down as captain due to mental health concerns
Mumbai Indians' skipper Hardik Pandya is currently grappling with serious psychological challenges, raising significant concerns among the club’s management.
Details: According to Indian Sports Netwrk, the team’s management has advised Pandya to take a break and temporarily step away from cricket to ensure he returns to the field fully recovered. The situation is further complicated by the possibility that Pandya could miss the remainder of the current season, leaving the squad without its key player at a crucial juncture.
In Pandya’s absence, it is expected that Suryakumar Yadav will take over the captaincy duties. However, this temporary change in leadership could turn into a permanent power shift within the Indians’ locker room.
Reports suggest that the management is seriously considering appointing Yadav as the permanent team captain starting next year, officially replacing Pandya in the leadership role.
Reminder: CSK’s captain has revealed MS Dhoni’s plans for the upcoming matches.
