Cricket Star Adil Rashid Shares Favorite Dish for Charity Cookbook
Adil Rashid, the renowned cricketer with Pakistani roots, has contributed to the ECB’s charity initiative by sharing his favorite recipe for the cookbook Taste of Cricket, reports Daily Mail.
Rashid revealed that his favorite dish is Moroccan chicken tagine, a choice inspired by his love for the spices and flavors it offers.
"Experiencing different cultures and bringing all those communities together through food is something really special in our game and the different types of food we get to enjoy around the world is a highlight of being able to travel as much as we do. It's the same as cricket, where people come together from different backgrounds and play in the same team," Rashid shared.
The cookbook features recipes from a variety of notable figures, including Stephen Fry and Ben Stokes. The aim is to promote inclusivity and diversity within cricket while celebrating the cultural richness that the sport embodies.
Proceeds from the book’s sales will support five ECB partner charities, including Chance to Shine, ACE (African Caribbean Engagement Programme), and Lord's Taverners. The initiative hopes to make cricket more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
