Coventry City confirm the signing of Guinean striker Sidiki Cherif
The 19-year-old has joined the newly promoted Premier League side for 25 million euros.
Sidiki Cherif’s transfer to Coventry City is now official. The English club announced the Guinean’s arrival on Wednesday 19 August. “ Coventry City FC are delighted to announce the signing of forward Sidiki Cherif on a permanent transfer from Fenerbahce SK on a long-term contract. ”
The Guinean striker has joined Frank Lampard’s side on a five-season contract, running until June 2031. The transfer fee for Sidiki Cherif amounts to 25 million euros.
The 19-year-old striker left Fenerbahçe after just six months. He had joined the Turkish club on a loan with an obligation to buy in February 2026 from Angers. During his spell in Turkey, Sidiki Cherif scored three goals in all competitions.
Prior to his loan spell in the Turkish Super Lig, the Guinean had also scored four goals in Ligue 1 during the 2025–2026 season. After signing for Coventry City, Sidiki Cherif expressed his pride.
