Court verdict in Ben Yedder rape case
Former Monaco and France striker Wissam Ben Yedder has been under investigation for a rape charge in connection with an incident in which he was accused of assault while intoxicated. The Nice court has now reached a verdict in the case.
Details: According to RMC Sport, Ben Yedder has been sentenced to two years of probation. In addition, the player has been ordered to undergo treatment and pay a compensation of 6,500 euros to the victim. The court also fined him 5,000 euros for resisting arrest and revoked his driver’s license for six months.
Reminder: In July, reports surfaced that Ben Yedder attempted to settle the scandal by offering the victim 1.5 million euros in exchange for dropping the charges. His lawyers managed to cover up most of the incident, but journalists eventually uncovered the details.
