Ivan Toney will now have to fight his case in court.

Details: England and Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney has pleaded not guilty at Westminster Magistrates' Court to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The charge relates to an alleged incident at the 100 Wardour Street nightclub in Soho, central London, on December 6, 2025. Prosecutors accuse the 30-year-old forward of headbutting and punching Saber Da Silva during an altercation. Toney denies the allegation.

The footballer elected to have the case dealt with at Crown Court, meaning the proceedings will continue before a judge and jury rather than being concluded at magistrates' court. His next appearance is scheduled for October 29 at Southwark Crown Court.

Toney has been released on unconditional bail while the case continues. The striker currently represents Saudi club Al Ahli and remains an England international. It is worth noting that Toney has made six Saudi Pro League appearances in the 2026/27 season and scored 10 goals, putting him at the top of the league's scoring chart.
