Could be a sensational transfer. Real Madrid want to buy Liverpool leader

Real Madrid is interested in signing one of Liverpool's leaders – Trent Alexander-Arnold, as reported by journalist Matteo Moretto of Relevo.

The Madrid club is searching for a player who could replace the experienced Dani Carvajal for years to come. Previously, Real's main target was right-back Reece James, but the idea of signing him was abandoned due to frequent injuries.

The La Liga leaders have not made any offers to Liverpool yet, but they are monitoring the situation regarding Alexander-Arnold's contract extension. His current deal with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025, and the parties have not reached an agreement on a new contract so far.

Alexander-Arnold is a product of Liverpool's youth system. He has been playing for the club's first team since 2016.

In the current season, the 25-year-old right-back has scored 2 goals and provided 10 assists in 29 matches across all competitions.

Since February 13th, Alexander-Arnold has been sidelined due to a knee injury.
