"The result against Sassuolo is negative; we made mistakes that Juventus simply cannot afford to make. Spalletti is unequivocally one of the best tacticians around, and changing managers is completely contrary to my philosophy. What the team needs right now is time and patience."

For Carnevali himself, who spent 13 years holding a similar role at Sassuolo, this match held special significance. The 2–3 defeat was the Bianconeri's first of the new Serie A season. Juventus management is urging against knee-jerk reactions and expects the errors to be corrected in the upcoming fixtures. After four matchdays, Luciano Spalletti's team has gathered seven points and sits in eighth place.
