Coudet Uncertain About Future at Alavés After Securing LaLiga Survival

Eduardo "Chacho" Coudet has cast doubt on whether he will remain at Deportivo Alavés next season, despite successfully steering the team clear of relegation. Speaking at a press conference, the Argentine coach stated he has yet to hold talks with club officials and plans to do so next week. “I haven’t spoken to anyone. I live alone with the blinds closed,” he said, reflecting a sense of solitude, EFE reported.
Coudet took over in December, replacing Luis García Plaza under considerable pressure and fan skepticism. “I knew people had affection for the previous coach, but I didn’t expect it to affect me so directly,” he admitted. Still, he noted the experience came at a strong moment for him both professionally and personally.
The coach praised his players’ discipline and commitment during a challenging campaign. “They’ve been demanding and respectful,” he remarked. With Alavés now safe, their final match against Osasuna will be played without relegation fears—but with the future of their bench still hanging in the air.
