Corti on the Brink of History With Potential Third Title in El Salvador

Ernesto “Carucha” Corti is just one win away from joining an exclusive club in Salvadoran football history. As reported by El Gráfico, the Argentine coach could become the fifth manager to win league titles with three different clubs in El Salvador if Alianza defeats Municipal Limeño in the Clausura 2025 final this Saturday.
Corti has already secured two league championships with Santa Tecla (Apertura 2016 and Clausura 2017) and another with Águila (Apertura 2023). A title with Alianza would see him join legendary names like Jorge “Zarco” Rodríguez, Hernán Carrasco Vivanco, Juan Quartarone, and Roberto “Toto” Gamarra — all of whom lifted trophies with three different sides.
Saturday’s final is not just a title decider, but a shot at cementing Corti’s legacy as one of the most accomplished coaches in the country. For Alianza, it’s another chance at glory; for Corti, it’s a moment to make history.
