Corinthians Reach Agreement with Biel and Push Sporting for Transfer Deal Corinthians Reach Agreement with Biel and Push Sporting for Transfer Deal

Corinthians have reached a salary agreement with Brazilian winger Gabriel “Biel” Teixeira and are now working to secure his release from Sporting CP, according to Lance! and ge. The 24-year-old is one of the club’s top targets for the current transfer window, and negotiations are underway to bring him back to Brazilian football.

Biel joined Sporting in February 2025 on a four-and-a-half-year deal in a transfer worth around €8 million. However, his time in Lisbon has been underwhelming—he’s made just seven appearances (one start), logging 131 minutes, with no goals or assists.

Sporting are reportedly looking for a permanent transfer to recoup part of their investment, while Corinthians initially proposed a loan deal, which the Portuguese side rejected. Despite the setback, Corinthians remain optimistic, with Biel receiving full backing from head coach Dorival Júnior.

The São Paulo giants are aiming to sign up to three reinforcements this window, with a winger being the main priority. Biel fits the bill, and while clubs like São Paulo, Vasco, and Atlético-MG also showed interest, none progressed as far as Corinthians.

The player’s camp is on board, but finalizing the deal hinges on Sporting’s stance—a hurdle Corinthians are now focused on overcoming.
