Coppa Italia. Roma took a strong-willed victory and advance to the quarter-finals

On Wednesday, January 3rd, another match of the Coppa Italia Round of 16 took place. Roma hosted Cremonese at their home ground.

In the first half, the "wolves" exerted more control over the ball and had more opportunities to score. However, it was somewhat unexpected that Cremonese took the lead. In the 37th minute, Frank Tsadjout opened the scoring in the match. The teams went into halftime with the guests holding a minimal advantage.

After the break, Roma introduced Dybala, Christensen, and Zalewski onto the field. José Mourinho's team completely dominated the match. In the 77th minute, these efforts logically paid off. Lukaku leveled the score, restoring parity in the match. It took just eight more minutes for Paolo Dybala to put the hosts ahead by converting a penalty.

Roma secured a resilient 2-1 victory and advances to the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia, where they will face Lazio.
